The history of Euroshorts started in 1992 when the Young Cinema Foundation organized the exhibition "The Art & Technique of the American Television Commercial" in Warsaw, Poland, at the Zachęta Gallery. This years festival edition will start on the 25th of November in Kinoport, a new part of the Łaźnia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdańsk.
Mirosław Baran, a journalist of the Gazeta Wyborcza daily in Gdańsk, wrote in 2010:
Euroshorts (...) is one of the most important events in Poland promoting Polish and international short films.
586 films were submitted in 4 categories: fiction, documentary, animation, experimental. 78 films from 29 countries will compete in the Euroshorts 2013 International Contest and one of them is "The Inheritor", short film by Ivan Milosavljević.
